Wow, that team looks really tough. Very nice additions; however, like my Rytas, the Russian signings this offseason are going to pose a major obstacle for winning the EuroCup.
But if you play against the Russian teams in the Final Eight, in one match....everything can happen.
For the single Euroleague spot from ACB (with the new Euroleague licenses system, TAU, Barחa and Madrid will have EL always) our rivals are Unicaja, DKV Joventut, and I think we can compete with this roster.
I agree, you can definitely compete with that roster.
Can you elaborate on the new license system? The ACB had been one of Europe's fairest systems, which in turn made the ACB playoffs highly entertaining to follow. Are these three teams contracted for the next 3 years? What do you mean by 'always'? So there will be one ACB spot up for grabs on a yearly basis? How will it be decided? If say Joventut win the ACB regular season but Pamesa win the playoffs who will go to the Euroleague?
There will be three types of licenses, A, B or C in Euroleague next years.
Euroleague wants to make a system which 16 teams will participate in the EL every season. The teams who have this "privilege" will have "license A". It's expected that these licenses in Spain will go to Madrid, Barחa and Tau.
7 teams will qualify from European Leagues. They'll have "license B". Spain will have only 1 spot.
1 team will qualify from Eurocup title. It will be "License C".
This news are destroying the ACB. Pamesa's chairman has said that Pamesa won't participate in ACB if the license system goes ahead.
